Pastor José L. O’Farril was born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. At the age of five, he experienced a divine calling and was baptized with the Holy Spirit, marking the commencement of his spiritual journey. He has devoted his life to serving the Lord, a commitment he regards as his most significant achievement. Over the course of his Christian ministry, Pastor O’Farril has held various roles, including worship pastor, musician, and educator.
He was also appointed as the President of the Youth Council for Christian Missionary Churches in upstate New York, where he oversaw youth ministries across more than twelve congregations. Presently, he serves as Co-Pastor at Light of the World Church, Assembly of God, and he is pursuing further education in Christian leadership at Global University.
Pastor José has been married for nearly two decades to his loving wife, Iris Lupita, and together they are the proud parents of five children: Ezequiel, Eddiel, Ethan, Ezrael, and Erialys. The family resides in Rochester, New York.
His aspiration is to honor the Lord in all his endeavors, firmly believing that it is not his ministry but the Lord's ministry; it is not his life but the Lord's life. His mission statement is encapsulated in Psalms 71:5, which expresses hope in Jesus Christ: “For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.”
